Assembly fixtures and jigs that take the judgement out of every part.
Locate on your datums, hold the part the same way every time, and make the wrong load impossible. A fixture is the most practical first project with GSD Automation.

What we build
GSD Automation designs and builds assembly fixtures and jigs for manufacturers across the island of Ireland. From a single manual fixture to a set of quick-change nests for a cell, each one is designed around your part, your datums and the way your operators work.
- Manual and pneumatic assembly fixtures
- Weld jigs and check fixtures
- Quick-change nests for cells and robot stations
- Error-proofed fixtures that will not accept a wrong or reversed part
Why a fixture is a good first project
A fixture is small, fixed in scope and quick to deliver. You see how we design, build and communicate before you trust us with a larger machine. Most of our customer relationships started this way.
Every fixture is built and checked in our workshop before delivery. If the fixture feeds a later machine, the same datums and nest design carry forward, so nothing is designed twice.
What you receive
Design in SolidWorks, manufacture, assembly and checking are done in-house. Pneumatic fixtures include the valves, sensors and controls needed to confirm the part is present and clamped. The proposal states the drawings and documents you receive at handover.
Questions we are asked
What do you need to design a fixture?+
The part drawing or a sample part, the datums or features that matter, the operation it supports, and the cycle you need. Photos or a short video of the current method help.
Can you make a fixture error-proof?+
Yes. Fixtures can be designed so a reversed, wrong or missing part cannot be clamped, with sensors to confirm the part is present before the next step runs.
How quickly can a fixture be delivered?+
It depends on the part and the materials, but a single fixture is typically one of the fastest jobs we do. We state the delivery in the proposal.
